"Next Gen Cup" is a youth "Champions League", invitation-only tournament that will gather Europe's top boys and girls youth teams. This is the best stage for the next generation of stars!
Emerging water polo talents from across Europe and the USA come together to compete in what is likely one of the most high-level tournaments for the U19 category ever held.
The Stars of Tomorrow will take center stage from September 19-21, in 2025 over the course of 3 action packed days
Featuring the best youth water polo teams from Spain, Hungary, Italy, France, Great Britain, Serbia, the United States, the Netherlands and Malta.
Elevate Water Polo will take an Elevate Invitational team to compete at this tournament. The invitational team will consist of an U19 Boys team and an U19 Girls team.
Hosted by BIWPA and Club Natació Sabadell, and with the support of TotalWaterpolo as the Media & Data provider
Next Generation Cup 2025 Team selection process
The Next Generation Cup 2025 Tour is a performance based tour with the goal to compete with the top U19 club teams from Spain, Hungary, Italy, France, Great Britain, Serbia, the United States, the Netherlands and Malta.
Elevate will invite selected players to attend the trials from 7-9 February 2025. The selection committee will be at IPT 2024 in East London to scout for talented players to invite to the trials in February 2025. Trial venue to be confirmed.
Selection Criteria:
Players will be invited to attend the Player trials from 7-9 February 2025
Players must be born in 2006, 2007, 2008
Match Fitness
Commitment to the full Tour preparation program
Frequent check in with the Elevate Team with regards to strength and conditioning
Club Sabadell, the Next Gen Cup Competition venue
Next Generation Cup 2025 Tour Provisional Itenary:
This Tour will start off with 4 day Training Camp at the BIWPA Academy in Barcelona and then move on to the Next Gen Cup Tournament at Club Sabadell in Barcelona.
